Promoting cross-departmental collaboration within the Institute of Health and Development.
Funding supports cooperative research projects and pilot studies for joint grant applications.

• Up to 2,000 Euro per project
• Up to 18 months duration
• A maximum of 3 projects can be funded in total

• Collaboration of at least 2 PhD students/postdocs from at least two different departments
• Funding of a specific research project that is jointly designed and carried out
  • Either as a pilot study for a larger project/externally funded project
  • Or as a complete study for potential publication
• Eligible costs (e.g. materials, student assistant hours, participant compensation)
• Application using the form (see below)
• All applications are reviewed by a committee
  • Consisting of two IGE PIs and a junior researcher

• Quality of the planned project (especially originality and feasibility)
• Added value of cross-departmental collaboration for the project
• Benefit of the project for the academic work of the researchers involved
• Project costs are not already covered (especially through external funding)
• Plausibility of the budget
